Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain deterministic end-to-end test suites using Playwright and TypeScript.
- Architect and own the automated platform test harness for core customer and commerce workflows.
- Implement REST API schema validation and contract tests using JSON Schema across services and partner integrations.
- Maintain and optimize GitHub Actions pipelines through test parallelization, artifact caching, and fast feedback loops.
- Embed boundary contracts and edge cases into product refinement and AI-assisted development workflows.
- Convert confirmed production defects and high-priority incidents into automated regression tests.
- Collaborate with and mentor QA and software engineers on integration testing, TDD practices, and AI-generated test scaffolding.
Requirements
- 5+ years of software testing and automation experience as an SDET or QA Automation Engineer.
- Experience building robust automated test suites for modern web applications using TypeScript or JavaScript and Playwright or Cypress.
- Practical experience with RESTful APIs, webhooks, JSON data contracts, and contract testing across distributed services.
- Working knowledge of GitHub Actions or equivalent CI systems, including parallel test runners, containerized test execution, and pipeline debugging.
- A realistic understanding of how AI-assisted code generation increases the need for deterministic testing, strict interface contracts, and rapid feedback.
- High autonomy, ownership, and willingness to work office-first from the Rotterdam headquarters.
- Relevant practical experience and problem-solving skills are valued even when applicants do not meet every listed qualification.
