Responsibilities

  • Write, review, and own production-quality full-stack code as a hands-on individual contributor.
  • Contribute to technical direction, architectural decisions, Architecture Decision Records, and evolutionary architecture practices.
  • Use AI tools and frameworks to improve software development speed, quality, efficiency, and decision-making.
  • Break complex technical work into scoped increments, remove blockers, escalate risks, and protect delivery commitments.
  • Collaborate with QAs, product owners, architects, designers, program managers, platform teams, and other stakeholders.
  • Advocate for test coverage, refactoring, technical debt reduction, TDD, BDD, pair programming, and automated testing.
  • Design and implement infrastructure as code with Terraform and collaborate on CI/CD pipelines and automated deployments.
  • Establish robust monitoring, logging, and alerting to support system reliability and performance.
  • Promote security-by-design and responsible handling of data and infrastructure.
  • Communicate technical concepts, risks, progress, and decisions to technical and non-technical audiences.

Requirements

  • At least 5 years of professional software development experience.
  • Deep expertise in at least one modern programming language, specifically JavaScript or Java, with strong knowledge of frontend and backend frameworks.
  • Strong understanding of software architecture, design patterns, SOLID principles, microservices, and event-driven architectures.
  • Experience with AI tools, frameworks, and platforms applied to software delivery.
  • Experience with cloud platforms, especially AWS, plus Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines and automated testing frameworks.
  • Familiarity with SQL and NoSQL databases and data modeling.
  • Fluency with XP practices including TDD, pair programming, continuous integration, and refactoring.
  • Working knowledge of security principles including secrets management and least privilege.
  • Must have the right to work and live in India and be within commuting distance of the Bengaluru office.
