Responsibilities
- Develop high-performance, cloud-native applications using Java, Spring Boot, and Kafka.
- Build low-latency, high-throughput transactional services supported by CI/CD pipelines.
- Use SQL to collect and query data for real-time investigation and analysis.
- Monitor trends and troubleshoot applications using Splunk and New Relic.
- Understand the codebase and business needs to implement application changes effectively.
- Collaborate with business leaders and cross-functional Agile teams on product roadmaps, experimentation, and technical decisions.
- Use generative AI tools such as Gemini and Cursor to improve productivity.
- Contribute to critical projects supporting Priceline’s business strategy.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science or equivalent work experience.
- At least 5 years of software engineering and development experience.
- Expertise in Java and Spring Boot for building high-performance applications.
- Strong SQL composition skills for querying and analysis.
- Experience with observability platforms such as Splunk and New Relic.
- Familiarity with event-streaming platforms such as Kafka.
- Proficiency with Git and Gitflow version-control practices.
- Experience with microservices, Kubernetes, Docker, and cloud development is a plus, particularly GCP and AWS.
- Openness to using modern generative AI tools such as Gemini and Cursor.
- Demonstrated integrity, ethics, accountability, collaboration, innovation, and customer focus.
