Responsibilities
- Build and maintain a scalable portal web application for merchant onboarding, users, transactions, funding, disbursements, chargebacks, risk controls, access controls, reporting, and dashboards.
- Own services and the delivery of medium-sized features involving multiple team members.
- Collaborate with engineering, technical, and non-technical stakeholders to refine requirements and evolve the payments platform.
- Participate in code reviews and apply software engineering best practices, architectural patterns, and design principles.
- Mentor less experienced team members and support team-owned projects and features.
Requirements
- 5+ years of software development experience with expert knowledge of engineering best practices, architectural patterns, and code design principles.
- 3+ years of Angular-based front-end development experience.
- 2+ years of ExpressJS backend development experience.
- Solid understanding of large-scale software systems and cloud-native applications.
- Experience with relational databases, including Postgres and MariaDB.
- Understanding of REST APIs and software development lifecycle stages.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Bonus qualifications include Agile development experience, CI/CD experience, and fintech or payments/banking product development experience.
