Responsibilities
- Solve complex software engineering problems with the team.
- Build and contribute to a scalable platform on AWS using engineering best practices.
- Develop Angular-based frontend features for the payments portal.
- Develop backend components using ExpressJS.
- Own the services built by the engineer and team.
- Refine business requirements and evolve the payments platform.
- Participate in team code reviews.
- Mentor less experienced team members.
- Collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders on team-owned projects and features.
- Deliver and support portal functionality for merchant onboarding, users, transactions, funding, disbursements, chargebacks, risk controls, access controls, reporting, and dashboards.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of software development experience.
- Expert knowledge of software development best practices, architectural patterns, and code design principles.
- At least 3 years of Angular-based frontend development experience.
- At least 2 years of ExpressJS backend development experience.
- Solid understanding of large-scale software systems.
- Experience with relational databases including Postgres and MariaDB.
- Good understanding of REST APIs.
- Experience with cloud services for building and running cloud-native applications.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Understanding of software development lifecycle stages and related best practices.
- Ability to technically own delivery of medium-sized features involving multiple team members.
- Agile development experience, CI/CD experience, and fintech, payments, or banking product development experience are bonuses.
