Responsibilities
- Develop and implement security policies and procedures for project environments in alignment with PSPF, ISM, and government guidelines.
- Monitor, assess, and manage system and application vulnerabilities, and configure firewalls, IDS, and anti-malware tools with IT.
- Maintain security protocols, incident response plans, and project security documentation.
- Deliver security awareness training and communicate cybersecurity risks and solutions to stakeholders and partners.
- Lead incident response activities including containment, eradication, recovery, and risk communication.
- Conduct cyber risk assessments and support compliance with government policies and security standards.
- Improve cybersecurity services through new strategies, tools, and best practices.
- Manage agreed service levels and align cybersecurity operations with organisational goals.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Active NV1 Security Clearance.
- Experience in a similar client-facing role, preferably in a managed services and project-based environment.
- Strong knowledge of security technologies and cybersecurity best practices.
- Knowledge of Essential Eight, ISO 27001, NIST, and other regulatory requirements and standards.
- Proficiency in Linux and Windows server administration.
- Experience with virtualization technologies such as VMware and Hyper-V.
- Strong scripting skills with PowerShell and Bash for automation and task execution.
- Knowledge of systems, network, cloud, Microsoft, and security products.
- Knowledge of Azure Networking.
- Experience with Aruba, FortiNet, and Juniper hardware.
- Strong analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Valid Vulnerable People / Working with Children Check (WWCC) and Police Check.
