Base Salary
$104k - $166k/yr
Responsibilities
- Lead a small team of data engineers developing, maintaining, and modernizing DEAP ingestion loaders.
- Develop and maintain services and processes that migrate and promote data and algorithms to AWS and supporting cloud databases.
- Design, code, test, implement, review, and deploy AWS cloud-based solutions.
- Gather requirements and estimate tasks with the customer and Peraton team.
- Perform data checks, quality checks, database planning, systems analysis, and implementation.
- Provide progress updates through Agile processes and weekly status reporting.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or a similar discipline with at least 8 years of experience, or a master's degree with at least 6 years, or a PhD with at least 3 years.
- Strong experience with databases, SQL, Python, XML, and C# .NET.
- Experience designing data migration strategies from SQL Server to Redshift and RDS cloud data warehouses.
- Experience with ETL processes using AWS resources and XML data exchange formats.
- AWS Solutions Architect certification is required.
- U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance are required.
- Preferred qualifications include an active clearance, a master's degree in a related field, experience with distributed data processing or event-driven architectures, high-volume regulated data pipelines, ingest-failure troubleshooting, rule-based validation, and XML/FIXML transformations.

- Hybrid work arrangement requiring up to three onsite days and two teleworking days per week in Washington, DC.
- Target base salary range of $104,000–$166,000, with potential eligibility for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus.
- Public Trust clearance eligibility is required, and an active clearance is preferred.
