Base Salary

Responsibilities
- Build and improve scalable backend services and modern front-end applications supporting eBay’s global traffic systems.
- Influence architecture and technical design decisions related to scalability, fault tolerance, security, and maintainability.
- Deliver end-to-end solutions involving APIs, microservices, databases, and responsive user interfaces.
- Translate complex requirements into production-ready solutions with product managers, architects, and cross-functional engineering teams.
- Advance coding standards, secure development practices, automation, and CI/CD workflows.
- Explore modern frameworks and emerging technologies to strengthen engineering practices and platform performance.
Requirements
- Master’s degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or a bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a related field plus 2+ years of full-stack engineering experience.
- Strong backend development experience with Node.js, Java, or similar technologies, including microservices, RESTful APIs, event-driven architectures, and OpenAPI Specification.
- Proficiency with React.js or a similar modern front-end framework.
- Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases, application scalability, performance optimization, and maintainable software design.
- Familiarity with AWS, GCP, Azure, or private cloud environments, Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines, and Git-based collaboration workflows.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills and understanding of secure coding practices.
- Experience with traffic-management UI applications, open-source contributions, or Agile ways of working is preferred.
