Responsibilities

  • Define long-term architectural standards and design resilient, scalable systems across Docebo’s full-stack and cloud ecosystem.
  • Lead complex, cross-functional product initiatives from problem framing through measurable business outcomes.
  • Partner with Product and Design leaders to shape roadmaps, test assumptions, and incorporate technical leverage into strategy.
  • Establish AI-assisted development practices, standards, and guardrails.
  • Improve CI/CD, observability, testing, operational reliability, and systemic engineering bottlenecks.
  • Engage customers and internal stakeholders, using product analytics and experimentation to understand pain points and measure results.
  • Mentor engineers across disciplines on architecture, product thinking, and AI tools.

Requirements

  • 10–12+ years of full-stack software development experience and a track record of designing, building, and shipping complex SaaS products end-to-end.
  • Experience with multi-language backends and frameworks, including PHP, Node.js, Golang, Angular, React, and serverless technology; prior PHP proficiency is not required.
  • Mastery of AI-assisted development tools such as Claude Code, Cursor, Codex, or similar, with regular daily use.
  • Advanced fluency with PostHog, Amplitude, or Mixpanel and experience with feature flags, experimentation, and A/B testing.
  • Advanced experience with CI/CD pipelines, AWS cloud environments, Kubernetes, and modern observability practices.
  • Ability to break down ambiguous technical problems into executable plans with clear tradeoffs.
  • Strong record of mentoring engineers, communicating with customers and stakeholders, and influencing cross-functional teams without direct authority.
  • Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience, is listed as a bonus qualification.
  • Bonus experience with Node.js, TypeScript, Go, Angular, or React Native.
