Base Salary

$110k - $286k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Define and evolve frontend architecture for complex React SPA, SSR, and hybrid applications.
  • Lead design reviews, establish engineering standards, and ensure consistency across teams and codebases.
  • Develop features in React and TypeScript and build reusable UI components, design systems, and shared utilities.
  • Drive frontend performance improvements involving bundle size, rendering, caching, profiling, and Core Web Vitals.
  • Establish testing, code review, CI/CD, observability, and release-quality practices for frontend systems.
  • Improve logging, metrics, tracing, and real-user monitoring for frontend applications.
  • Align multiple teams on technical direction, dependencies, and delivery plans.
  • Partner with backend and platform engineers on APIs, contracts, and end-to-end system design.
  • Mentor engineers and influence technical decisions across the organization.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of software engineering experience with a deep focus on modern web development.
  • Expert-level React proficiency and strong TypeScript experience.
  • Strong knowledge of browser fundamentals, including the DOM, events, networking, performance, profiling, and security.
  • Experience designing scalable frontend architectures involving state management, routing, data fetching, and component patterns.
  • Experience with Next.js or another SSR/SSG framework.
  • Familiarity with Redux Toolkit, Zustand, React Query, and GraphQL.
  • Proficiency with React, TypeScript, JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3, CSS-in-JS, Tailwind, and Sass.
  • Experience integrating REST or GraphQL APIs and with contract-driven development.
  • Experience using Node.js, npm, yarn or pnpm, Vite or Webpack, ESLint, and Prettier.
  • Knowledge of accessibility practices, including WCAG 2.2 AA and assistive technologies, is preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field plus 4 years of software engineering experience, or 6 years of software engineering experience.
  • A master’s degree in a relevant field plus 2 years of software engineering experience is preferred.
  • Applicants must be authorized to work for any employer in the United States without current or future visa sponsorship.
