Responsibilities
- Design, develop, troubleshoot, review, and debug secure, high-quality production software.
- Lead adoption and validation standards for enterprise-authorized AI-assisted coding, code review, testing, troubleshooting, and refactoring tools.
- Apply software development lifecycle tools and automation to improve delivery and operational outcomes.
- Identify and automate remediation of recurring issues to improve application and system stability.
- Lead architectural evaluation sessions with vendors, startups, and internal teams.
- Coach engineers on secure, compliant, and responsible AI-assisted engineering practices.
Requirements
- Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts and at least 5 years of applied experience.
- Advanced proficiency in one or more of Python, J2EE, or Core Java, including Java 17 concepts and concurrency-related features.
- In-depth experience with Spring Framework, Spring MVC, Spring Boot, and RESTful web services.
- Strong AWS experience architecting, deploying, and operating cloud-native services.
- Experience with JIRA, Maven, Git, Jenkins, GitHub, and Bitbucket.
- Knowledge of web security concepts and technologies including OAuth2, ADFS, Kerberos, cross-site scripting, and HTTP injection.
- Hands-on experience with system design, application development, testing, automation, continuous delivery, and operational stability.
- Strong understanding of responsible AI use, data sensitivity, secure input/output handling, resiliency, and security expectations.
- Preferred qualifications include financial services IT experience, practical cloud-native experience, and familiarity with Terraform.
