Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and operate large-scale, multi-region Kubernetes platforms on AWS EKS and/or Google GKE.
- Manage Kubernetes cluster provisioning, upgrades, patching, scaling, backups, disaster recovery, and business continuity.
- Build and optimize CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions, Jenkins, and Harness.
- Develop cloud-native platform capabilities using Karpenter, Cilium, Istio, Envoy, IRSA/Pod Identity, and Terraform-based infrastructure modules.
- Troubleshoot application code and platform integrations, identify root causes, and implement or recommend code fixes.
- Drive Backstage adoption, self-service capabilities, platform automation, and AI-driven operational insights.
- Implement DevSecOps, container security, observability, monitoring, logging, tracing, alerting, SLIs/SLOs, and platform health metrics.
- Lead incident response, root cause analysis, continuous improvement, and cross-functional platform initiatives.
Requirements
- 4–6 years of experience in DevOps and Platform Engineering, including hands-on management of production-scale Kubernetes environments.
- Strong Kubernetes expertise covering networking, RBAC, autoscaling, cluster operations, workload management, and highly available cloud platforms.
- Proficiency with Terraform, Infrastructure as Code, and CI/CD tools including GitHub Actions, Jenkins, and Harness.
- Strong programming and automation skills in Golang and/or Python.
- Hands-on experience with Karpenter, Cilium, Istio, Envoy, and IRSA/Pod Identity.
- Understanding of DevSecOps, container security, software supply chain security, platform governance, and observability practices.
- Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, communication, stakeholder management, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Relevant AWS, GCP, CKA, or CKAD certifications are preferred.
- Exposure to Internal Developer Platforms, self-service capabilities, AI-assisted operations, and multi-cloud or hybrid cloud environments is preferred.
