Responsibilities
- Maintain and extend the Kubernetes platform.
- Improve production platform performance and reliability.
- Ensure observability across production systems.
- Assist with database and service performance tuning.
- Collaborate with Development Engineers on the operational impacts of new features.
- Identify architecture bottlenecks and develop solutions with Engineering.
- Handle on-call response for public-facing services.
- Collaborate with Support on operational runbooks.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of Kubernetes experience.
- Experience operating Linux systems.
- Mandatory GCP cloud experience; multi-cloud experience is preferred.
- Experience with Terraform and container lifecycle management.
- Programming experience in Go, Python, or a similar language.
- Experience with database optimization and network-level troubleshooting.
- At least 6–8 years of related experience with a bachelor’s degree, or 3 years with a master’s degree, or 1 year with a PhD, or equivalent experience.
- A degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
