Responsibilities
- Operate and troubleshoot Redis at scale, including clustering, replication, high availability, backup and recovery, and performance tuning.
- Monitor system availability, performance, scalability, and resource usage, including capacity planning and bottleneck remediation.
- Respond to outages and disruptions, perform analysis, and implement measures to prevent recurrence.
- Develop Python tools, scripts, self-service capabilities, and operational workflows to automate platform processes.
- Apply observability, incident management, reliability, and operational-excellence practices to improve service resilience.
- Collaborate with development and cross-functional teams to integrate reliability, scalability, and performance practices into the software development lifecycle.
- Contribute to technology communities, policy development, risk mitigation, controls, and operational effectiveness.
- Lead or guide complex assignments, influence stakeholders, and support team objectives in an Assistant Vice President role.
Requirements
- Strong experience operating and troubleshooting Redis at scale, including Cluster, Replication, high availability, backup and recovery, and performance tuning.
- Strong SRE experience with service reliability, incident management, observability, automation, and operational excellence.
- Strong Python programming skills for platform automation, self-service tooling, operational workflows, and service lifecycle management.
- Working experience in the financial domain is highly valued.
- Experience with Kafka-based event-driven architecture is highly valued.
- Experience with AIOP processes and methods is highly valued.
