Responsibilities
- Design and implement automated deployment pipelines and rework existing deployment solutions toward the target state.
- Design and implement SRE tools, monitoring, observability, deployment, recovery, and incident-feed solutions.
- Work with development teams to automate deployment, recovery, and observability while maintaining bank SDLC standards.
- Develop and maintain automated workflows for onboarding features and major changes into production.
- Analyze production issues, feed bug fixes into application backlogs, monitor releases, and identify reliability improvements.
- Reduce repetitive manual operational tasks and build services that improve IT and support-team productivity.
- Define and maintain service-level agreements, service-level objectives, non-functional requirements, baseline metrics, and infrastructure requirements.
- Identify SDLC control improvements and communicate risks associated with new production features and major changes.
- Participate in requirements gathering, solution design, development, testing, implementation, and the full product lifecycle.
- Design and develop configuration and software solutions aligned with feature requirements and the DSM architecture.
- Create and review solution architectures and designs while accounting for business and technical constraints, requirements, and dependencies.
- Mentor colleagues, conduct peer reviews, share best practices, and help drive teams through end-to-end product development.
Requirements
- Extensive IT experience building software and systems while managing application or platform infrastructure, monitoring and application-performance tools, logging, dashboards, alerts, production operations, change management, and incident tracking.
- Experience with GitHub Actions, Terraform, preferably on Google Cloud, Google Cloud SDK, Kubernetes and OpenShift deployment automation, Jenkins pipelines with Groovy, Maven, Java, Spring Boot, Docker, shell scripting, and certificate management.
- Knowledge of J2EE and Spring Boot applications, infrastructure as code, cloud automation, CI/CD pipelines, and software development.
- Scripting experience in Bash, Python, PowerShell, or another scripting language.
- Experience with OpenShift installation and setup and several deployment, automation, CI, infrastructure, monitoring, logging, and scripting tools including Git, Maven, Ant, Artifactory, Jenkins, TeamCity, uDeploy, Chef, Splunk, Puppet, Nagios, SonarQube, Gradle, Service Mesh, ELK, Node.js, Docker, Kubernetes, and GCP.
- Knowledge of digital certificate creation, handling, installation, and troubleshooting; Linux commands; SCP; networking and ports; product installation and upgrades; silent installers; and business-application configuration.
- Expertise in architecture and design with hands-on experience designing, developing, and implementing a broad range of products.
- Ability to communicate complex ideas clearly, create concise written artifacts, collaborate in virtual or matrix teams, and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience with software engineering practices, test-driven development, Agile software development methodologies, quality improvement, and process improvement.
- Desirable experience with Tableau, QlikView, Oracle, MS-SQL, big data or NoSQL approaches, Apache, JBoss, Oracle WebLogic, IBM WebSphere, web containers, and J2EE servers.
- Ability to leverage AI tools to improve productivity and workflows while applying critical judgment for responsible and ethical use of data and AI outputs.
