Base Salary
$125k - $175k/yr
Responsibilities
- Lead planning and execution of closed-course autonomous vehicle system testing.
- Create validation and verification plans and test matrices based on product requirements.
- Execute end-to-end autonomy software test cases aligned with release milestones.
- Debug and troubleshoot software failures involving Linux, ROS, sensors, actuators, and log data.
- Collaborate with engineers to determine testing approaches and report test failures to management.
- Organize and execute field testing of autonomy software on vehicles in various environments.
- Support development of the planning stack or embedded safety MCU.
- Develop documentation and back-end tooling to improve operational efficiency.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or Robotics.
- At least 2 years of experience creating and executing test plans for software and hardware systems.
- At least 2 years of experience working with robotics, automotive, or autonomous vehicles.
- Experience debugging system behavior in Linux, ROS, C++, and Python and identifying failures caused by hardware sensors.
- Programming skills in Python, C++, and Bash.
- Preferred experience testing autonomy or ADAS applications and performing validation and verification at an autonomous vehicle company.
- Preferred experience testing large vehicles in defense, mining, construction, or agriculture.
- Experience with autonomous-driving compute systems, sensors, and communication protocols is preferred.
- Willingness to travel to test sites near San Antonio, Texas, and around the country.
