Responsibilities
- Define testing plans, identify requirements gaps, and propose testing hypotheses for system changes.
- Identify interfacing and related systems and create test cases for batch and functional testing.
- Execute tests, validate results, and determine issues requiring development-team attention.
- Automate test scripts and support regression testing and other automation opportunities.
- Collaborate with developers to resolve defects and validate fixes.
- Assist with root cause analysis and validation of production issues.
- Incorporate testing activities into project plans and support software quality throughout the development lifecycle.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
- At least 2 years of software quality engineering or relevant IT industry or banking experience.
- Proficiency in test planning, test execution, gap analysis, requirements traceability, and defect management.
- Experience participating on project teams and incorporating testing activities into project plans.
- Experience with one or more functional or regression testing tools.
- Understanding of quality assurance as part of the software development process.
- Preferred: project management experience and financial industry experience.
- Preferred: experience validating APIs with Postman, Swagger, Playwright, or similar technologies and understanding of automation testing concepts and best practices.
- Preferred: experience supporting financial services or lending and loan-origination applications, including complex business rules and loan workflows.
