Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable microservices and RESTful APIs using Java and Spring Boot.
- Ensure code quality through automated testing, code reviews, refactoring, and pull requests.
- Clarify business requirements with users and stakeholders and translate them into technical requirements and solutions.
- Own end-to-end feature implementation, including architectural design and team alignment.
- Build and maintain interfaces with other systems within the Allianz network.
- Support production performance, stability, security, monitoring, troubleshooting, and bug fixing.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of experience with Java 17+, Spring Boot including Spring MVC, and scalable backend applications.
- Proven experience integrating frontend and backend systems using RESTful and SOAP APIs.
- Strong knowledge of Maven, Git, code reviews, pull requests, and IntelliJ IDEA.
- Experience writing unit and integration tests with JUnit and Mockito.
- Ability to explain and justify technical decisions while balancing architecture, usability, maintainability, and delivery speed.
- Ability to work independently with shared code ownership in a cross-functional Agile environment.
- Familiarity with AI-powered development workflows, Apache Camel, Jenkins or GitHub Actions, Docker, Kubernetes, AWS, Spring Security, and Dynatrace is a plus.
