Responsibilities
- Develop and enhance full stack web applications with front-end interfaces and backend services.
- Build responsive user interfaces using React.js.
- Implement features and improvements for existing internal applications.
- Integrate internal and external systems through APIs and service integrations.
- Translate defined requirements and technical specifications into reliable software components.
- Implement secure authentication, authorization, and data handling practices.
- Design and maintain data models and database interactions, including MySQL.
- Troubleshoot issues across the stack and deliver solutions efficiently.
- Collaborate with engineers, scientists, and data teams on research workflows.
- Maintain code quality, testing, and documentation standards.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in Computer Science, Bioinformatics, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience building full stack web applications.
- Strong proficiency with React.js and modern JavaScript/TypeScript.
- Experience with APIs and service integrations.
- Experience with MySQL or relational database design.
- Understanding of web application security principles, including authentication, authorization, and secure API usage.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced development environment.
- Preferred: experience with Node.js and Express or Python and Flask.
- Preferred: experience in life sciences, genomics, bioinformatics, research computing, data-heavy platforms, scientific software tools, cloud platforms, or data pipelines.
