Base Salary
$157k - $266k/yr
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams using a user-centered design process to balance user needs and technical feasibility.
- Translate high-level requirements into software architecture and algorithm designs.
- Design and develop modular, reusable, and scalable UI software architecture across da Vinci product variants.
- Refactor existing codebases to improve reuse, reduce duplication, and enable shared components.
- Partition software for unit testing and automated verification in accordance with product quality and regulatory requirements.
- Profile and optimize interactive display subsystems, including rendering, compositing, and video-streaming pipelines.
- Contribute to 2D/3D UI rendering, display pipeline development, compositing, and overlay rendering.
- Participate in software/hardware failure-mode analysis and implement hazard-mitigation strategies.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree with 8 years of relevant industry experience, or a Master’s degree with 6 years, or a PhD with 3 years, or equivalent experience.
- Experience developing interactive UI software, display pipelines, or video/image-processing systems.
- Mastery of C/C++ programming.
- Experience across the product development lifecycle, including design, implementation, stabilization, verification, and maintenance.
- Experience designing and maintaining core software infrastructure focused on modularity and reusability.
- Ability to write well-structured, testable code and partition software for unit and automated verification testing.
- Experience working in large software codebases and developing software on Linux.
- Comfort working across integrated hardware/software systems, including device drivers and register-level interfaces.
- Excellent communication and documentation skills.
- Preferred experience with Qt GUI programming, display/video performance optimization, Nvidia Jetson, Jetpack SDK, OpenGL, GLSL shaders, GStreamer, CUDA, GPGPU techniques, and natural user-interface technologies.
