Responsibilities

  • Design and implement high-performing, scalable software and data solutions across multiple platforms.
  • Build and optimize data platforms and pipelines using Azure Synapse, Data Factory, OneLake, and Microsoft Fabric.
  • Apply data warehousing, semantic modeling, Power BI, DAX, Power Query/M, and ETL practices to deliver reporting and analytics solutions.
  • Guide engineers through architecture, development, testing, debugging, issue resolution, and optimization.
  • Perform root-cause analysis, support solution implementation and verification, and identify process and technology improvements.
  • Mentor team members and collaborate with technology areas, business leaders, stakeholders, and global development teams.
  • Use data and cost measures to influence decisions, build consensus, and support project or production objectives.
  • Participate in proposals, estimates, proof-of-concept activities, industry knowledge groups, and continuous improvement efforts.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, MIS, or a related field and at least 2 years of software development experience, or 6 years of related and applicable experience.
  • For the Lead level, a bachelor’s degree and at least 5 years of development experience, or 9 years of related and applicable experience, are required.
  • Strong hands-on experience with Power BI, including DAX and data modeling, plus experience with M scripting in Power Query.
  • Experience with a cloud data platform such as Microsoft Fabric, Azure SQL/Synapse, Databricks, or Snowflake.
  • Familiarity with Azure ecosystem tools, dataflows, ETL processes, data architecture, and data warehousing concepts.
  • Software development experience with technologies such as Python, DAX, M, R, TypeScript, JavaScript, Angular, Node.js, C++, .NET, Java, or SQL.
  • Experience troubleshooting technical issues, conducting research and root-cause analysis, and developing innovative solutions.
  • Ability to guide, coach, mentor, communicate with, and build trust among engineers, leaders, stakeholders, and diverse global teams.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, time-management, problem-solving, collaboration, and attention-to-detail skills.
  • Demonstrated experience with software development lifecycle methodologies and the ability to manage changing priorities with limited direction.
