Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, test, debug, optimize, and support scalable software solutions across multiple platforms.
  • Build enterprise data services and pipelines for reliable data ingestion, transformation, processing, and access.
  • Develop backend services, APIs, microservices, reusable platform capabilities, shared services, SDKs, templates, and internal developer enablement patterns.
  • Guide other engineers in software design, development, code testing, issue resolution, root-cause analysis, and continuous improvement.
  • Implement automated testing and CI/CD practices across unit, integration, and end-to-end testing levels.
  • Use data and cost measures to support technical decisions, consensus building, project delivery, production support, and benefits realization.
  • Participate in solution analysis, project proposals, estimates, proof-of-concepts, stakeholder demos, and innovation initiatives.
  • Mentor and coach team members, collaborate with cross-functional and global development teams, and communicate with business and technology stakeholders.
  • Design secure, compliant solutions with authentication, authorization, data protection, audit logging, and policy enforcement.
  • Maintain awareness of industry best practices and contribute to technology enhancements and process improvements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, MIS, or a related field plus at least 2 years of software development experience, or 6 years of related and applicable experience.
  • Hands-on software development experience with technologies such as Angular, NodeJS, TypeScript, C++, .NET, Java, or SQL.
  • Experience building backend services, enterprise-grade APIs or microservices, cloud infrastructure, RESTful services, and event-driven systems.
  • Experience designing reusable platform capabilities, shared services, SDKs, templates, or internal developer enablement patterns.
  • Experience with AWS Cloud Development Kit or comparable infrastructure-as-code frameworks, including reusable constructs and patterns.
  • Experience implementing automated testing strategies and CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Enterprise Actions or similar tools.
  • Experience with real-time data pipelines, streaming integrations, or event-driven data processing.
  • Experience designing secure and compliant solutions in regulated environments such as HIPAA or SOC2.
  • Strong analytical problem-solving, troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, communication, collaboration, organization, and time-management skills.
  • Ability to guide, mentor, coach, and collaborate with diverse development teams while managing changing priorities.
  • AWS certifications such as Cloud Practitioner or Solutions Architect are preferred.
  • Experience in health insurance, healthcare, financial services, or other regulated industries is preferred.
  • Experience with proof-of-concepts, hackathons, stakeholder demos, innovation initiatives, and Agile team environments is preferred.
