Responsibilities
- Analyze and implement innovative, efficient, cost-effective software solutions across multiple platforms.
- Guide engineers in software design, development, code testing, debugging, defect analysis, and issue resolution.
- Drive adoption of development standards, automated testing, CI/CD pipelines, and other best practices.
- Perform research, root-cause analysis, problem definition, solution implementation, verification, and ongoing optimization.
- Mentor engineers and collaborate with technology teams on solution development and software or application enhancements.
- Use data and cost measures, including AWS infrastructure and labor costs, to support delivery and production decisions.
- Build relationships with Wellmark leaders and advise on business processes, technology enhancements, and capabilities.
- Participate in project proposals, estimates, proof-of-concept activities, and industry knowledge groups.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, MIS, or a related field and at least 2 years of software development experience, or 6 years of related and applicable experience.
- Experience with software development technologies such as Angular, NodeJS, TypeScript, C++, .NET, Java, or SQL.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, problem-solving, research, communication, organizational, and time-management skills.
- Experience with software development lifecycle methodologies and solving complex technical issues.
- Ability to lead, support, mentor, and coach diverse development teams and collaborate with stakeholders.
- Preferred experience with Agile team environments and global staffing vendors.
- Preferred experience with IAM or CIAM platforms and OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, SAML, and JWT.
- Preferred experience implementing MFA, SSO, federation, role-based access controls, and highly available security-focused platform services.
- Preferred knowledge of cybersecurity, regulatory, and healthcare or other regulated-industry compliance considerations.
- Preferred experience developing secure, scalable applications using the MEAN stack and Microsoft .NET technologies.
- Preferred experience with authentication, authorization, API security, enterprise integration patterns, and technical leadership in agile delivery teams.
