Responsibilities
- Define and evolve end-to-end logical, solution, infrastructure, and system architecture across one or more complex systems.
- Lead architectural decisions from initial framing through commitment, documenting trade-offs, rationale, scope, stakeholders, and reconsideration conditions.
- Define infrastructure capabilities, constraints, nonfunctional requirements, resilience, recovery, continuity, identity, observability, and risk treatments.
- Shape discovery, portfolio, product, and technology planning before investment decisions are made.
- Establish responsible architecture for AI-enabled products, models, retrieval solutions, and agents, including intended use, evaluation, monitoring, lifecycle controls, and human accountability.
- Apply enterprise principles, standards, reference architectures, regulatory obligations, and architectural guardrails.
- Oversee system lifecycle activities from concept through modernization and decommissioning, including risk mitigation and technical debt management.
- Maintain architecture models, decision records, risks, assumptions, standards, and conformance evidence in governed systems of record.
- Collaborate with product management, business owners, engineering, data, security, infrastructure, network, platform, operations, compliance, and other architects.
- Travel required up to 5%.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or direct and applicable work experience.
- Minimum 7 years of experience, including security application experience and related program controls, processes, or security tools.
- Minimum 4 years of cloud architecture experience, including system integration, application development, and system analysis.
- Proven experience designing and guiding complex technical systems, with strong knowledge of software architecture and system integration.
- Expert knowledge of network protocols and enterprise network architecture, with the ability to architect complete solutions spanning multiple technologies.
- Experience securing workloads, migrating to public cloud platforms, and managing cloud access security brokers, including single sign-on, authorization, and encryption.
- Experience with SQL and NoSQL database systems.
- Ability to document and communicate architecture clearly, collaborate across technical and non-technical teams, influence stakeholders, and guide groups toward consensus and outcomes.
- Experience with enterprise lifecycle management, architecture documentation, architecture reviews, governance, and technical debt planning.
- Preferred experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP; microservices, APIs, and event-driven architectures; TOGAF, SAFe, or Zachman; regulated industries; enterprise architecture repositories; policy-as-code or conformance checks; and AI, machine learning, retrieval-augmented, or agent-based systems.
- Relevant architecture or domain certification is preferred.
