Cybersecurity Automation Engineer ,Assistant Vice President
State StreetResponsibilities
- Identify repetitive SOC tasks and processes suitable for automation.
- Create detailed user stories defining automation requirements and expectations.
- Enhance incident-response workflows to reduce manual work and improve response times.
- Develop, test, and validate cybersecurity automation solutions.
- Document solutions and share knowledge with cross-functional stakeholders.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field, or relevant experience in lieu of a degree.
- At least 3 years of experience in cybersecurity or a similar role, preferably in a SOC environment.
- Proficiency in programming or scripting languages such as Python, PowerShell, or Bash.
- Experience with automation tools and frameworks.
- Strong understanding of security operations, incident-response processes, and cybersecurity principles.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, written communication, verbal communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
