Responsibilities
- Lead the architectural design, implementation, deployment, and maintenance of Baggage Scanning suite applications.
- Develop enterprise technical strategies, standards, reference architectures, design patterns, architecture decision frameworks, and technology roadmaps.
- Guide architects and engineering teams on system design, infrastructure integration, application development, runtime principles, scalability, reliability, security, and maintainability.
- Manage architecture reviews, validation checklists, architectural artifacts, and alignment across the enterprise.
- Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines and observability capabilities using Harness, Dynatrace, Datadog, and Splunk.
- Research emerging technologies, develop proofs of concept, and transition pilots into scalable production environments.
- Architect solutions using GenAI, AI SaaS platforms, agentic workflows, AI development platforms, and custom technology products.
- Lead design, testing, evaluation, implementation, support, troubleshooting, and performance optimization for software systems and technology tools.
- Lead diagnostics and troubleshooting with production support teams during outages and incidents, including outside business hours when needed.
- Define product technical roadmaps, priorities, effort estimates, release patterns, branching strategies, and architecture documentation.
- Partner with platform engineering, DevOps, enterprise architecture, network, security engineering, product, business, and external stakeholders.
- Coordinate delivery across release management, DevOps, QA, UX, and other teams while ensuring compliance with architecture and engineering standards.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field.
- At least 5 years of enterprise architecture experience managing complex enterprise applications and infrastructure.
- At least 3 years of AWS experience and at least 2 years of Android mobile solution experience.
- Experience with AWS, GCP, serverless technologies, Docker, Kubernetes, cloud-native services, and high-level network and hardware integration.
- Experience with EC2, S3, RDS, EKS, Lambda, AmazonMQ, API Gateway, DynamoDB, microservices, web services, APIs, gateways, and service mesh.
- Experience with highly automated CI/CD environments, Well-Architected frameworks, application performance tuning, resilience, reliability improvement, and large-scale responsive web applications.
- Experience troubleshooting and supporting operationally critical applications during major outages.
- Familiarity with GenAI, agentic technologies, automation platforms, and AI tools.
- Strong knowledge of DevOps practices, CI/CD, automation, and observability tools including Dynatrace, Datadog, and Splunk.
- Understanding of security best practices, vulnerability management, data architecture, data governance, and relational and non-relational databases.
- Ability to coordinate efforts across release managers, DevOps engineers, QA, and UX designers.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship.
- Master's degree in Computer Science and airline experience are preferred.
- Successful completion of an interview and reliable, punctual attendance are required.
