Base Salary
$145k - $200k/yr
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain highly available systems that orchestrate software deployment across hundreds of production environments
- Develop performance-sensitive storage features and optimizations for storing and serving Palantir products
- Design and implement Kubernetes backup and restore solutions using proprietary compression infrastructure
- Build and optimize the OCI-based container artifact store
- Debug complex issues and performance problems across the stack, including open-source components
- Collaborate with customers and internal teams to solve urgent problems and address cross-team technical challenges
- Own the full development lifecycle from ideation and design through implementation, operation, and support
Requirements
- 4+ years of professional software development experience focused on core infrastructure and operational excellence
- 2+ years contributing to system design or architecture, including design patterns, reliability, and scaling
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
- Strong systems programming proficiency in Go, Java, or an equivalent language
- Familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes at scale
- Experience with hosted container registries such as Amazon Elastic Container Registry, Google Artifact Registry, or Azure Container Registry is highly desirable
- Familiarity with the OCI Distribution Spec and open-source registry projects such as distribution/distribution and Harbor
- Experience designing, building, and operating high-scale observability or infrastructure systems
- Experience building software in a fast-paced CI/CD development environment
