Responsibilities
- Design, develop, implement, debug, and document software applications for industrial automation systems.
- Build scalable, reliable libraries and tools supporting reverse logistics operations.
- Integrate machine vision, data processing, and machine learning technologies.
- Develop reporting, visualization, and data-driven tools for operational decision-making.
- Provide technical guidance on software engineering practices, architecture, code reviews, and development standards.
- Translate business and technical requirements into specifications and support automation project scoping and prioritization.
- Evaluate emerging technologies and develop prototypes and proof-of-concepts.
- Collaborate with project managers, automation engineers, and cross-functional stakeholders.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- At least 5 years of professional software development experience.
- Experience designing and implementing scalable, robust software for industrial automation environments.
- Expertise architecting complex software systems and selecting appropriate technologies.
- Strong proficiency in C++, Python, and C#.
- Experience designing and integrating GraphQL APIs.
- Familiarity with machine vision technologies, including OpenCV and hardware integration.
- Experience developing or integrating machine learning models for real-time industrial applications.
- Knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases, data modeling, and performance optimization.
- Experience with large datasets, real-time data streaming, and data visualization tools.
- Experience with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud and cloud-native architectures.
- Understanding of Docker, Kubernetes, automated testing, and cloud development practices.
- Strong communication, analytical, problem-solving, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Preferred: Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Preferred: Knowledge of Modbus, OPC-UA, and EtherCAT, plus experience integrating PLCs, SCADA, and HMI systems.
