Base Salary
$199k - $248k/yr
Responsibilities
- Own or co-own the design, implementation, and delivery of Box AI chat and agentic frontend experiences across web and mobile applications.
- Spend approximately 80% of working time on frontend development and 20% collaborating with backend engineering teams.
- Shape product requirements with Product Managers and UX Designers and make technical and product trade-offs.
- Ship weekly to production through daily pull requests and one-week sprint cycles.
- Define cross-platform development best practices for web, iOS, and Android.
- Uphold accessibility, performance, and quality standards through engineering, code reviews, and testing.
- Translate evolving AI model capabilities into customer-facing frontend experiences.
- Define interfaces, contracts, and incremental delivery milestones with backend engineering teams.
- Participate in the on-call rotation and respond to and triage production issues.
Requirements
- 5+ years of professional software engineering experience with a strong focus on frontend development.
- Deep expertise in React; React Native experience is a strong plus.
- Full-stack understanding, including backend APIs, system design, and defining interfaces and contracts.
- Required experience using AI coding tools such as Cursor, Claude Code, or Codex in the development workflow.
- Demonstrated experience shipping significant changes across multiple components or systems with minimal guidance.
- Experience collaborating inclusively, supporting accessible design, mentoring peers, and improving engineering practices through code review.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines, A/B testing, and feature flag-driven development.
- Exposure to GCP and cross-platform mobile architecture is preferred.
