
Lead Software Engineer - Java Full stack, Agentic AI

Responsibilities
- Design, develop, troubleshoot, review, and debug secure, high-quality production software solutions.
- Build and deliver Java and React full-stack applications across multiple technical areas.
- Lead team adoption of enterprise-authorized AI-assisted engineering and agentic development practices.
- Establish validation standards covering secure coding, peer review, automated testing, correctness, performance, and security.
- Identify and automate recurring remediation opportunities to improve application and system stability.
- Lead evaluations of vendors, startups, and internal technologies against architectural and integration needs.
- Lead software engineering communities of practice and promote adoption of emerging technologies.
- Translate business requirements into functional and non-functional specifications and drive implementation from those specifications.
Requirements
- Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts and 5+ years of applied experience leading, designing, and building solutions.
- Expertise in Java, Spring Core, Spring Boot, REST APIs, JPA, microservices, JavaScript, TypeScript, and React.
- Expert-level experience using AI-assisted and agentic development tools such as GitHub Copilot and Claude Code for scaffolding, refactoring, debugging, documentation, code review, and test generation.
- Experience with secure and responsible AI-assisted engineering practices, including data sensitivity, secure input and output handling, security and license checks, SDLC compliance, and human oversight.
- Experience with spec-driven development, including API contracts, UI acceptance criteria, and test cases.
- Familiarity with Grafana, AppDynamics, and Splunk, plus hands-on CI/CD experience with Git, Maven, Jenkins, SonarQube, and Fortify.
- Experience with PostgreSQL and Oracle, including schema design, performance tuning, and SQL optimization.
- Experience with Kafka, object-oriented design, test-driven development, JUnit, Mockito, Playwright, and Cucumber.
- Preferred qualifications include agile development in a product operating model, enterprise data analytics solutions, and AI agentic application development using GitHub Copilot or Copilot agents.
