Responsibilities
- Build and operate scalable batch and streaming pipelines using Snowflake, Databricks, Spark, and reused Informatica ETL.
- Implement Apache Iceberg-based tables, partitions, and metadata structures for analytical access.
- Integrate source feeds including RKS, PORTIA, Aladdin, and CRD Cloud into curated reference and application data products.
- Develop data validation, quality rules, reconciliation checks, lineage capture, semantic-layer models, governed BI endpoints, and consumption APIs.
- Define data product interfaces including schemas, SLAs, documentation, versioning, and backward compatibility.
- Collaborate with platform, architecture, and application teams on deployment standards, data strategies, logical and physical data models, and observability.
- Participate in on-call support, major incident management, backfills, performance tuning, and production stability for owned data products.
Requirements
- Strong data engineering programming skills in Python, Java, and SQL.
- Solid programming skills in Spark and SQL, including optimization and debugging.
- Hands-on experience with Snowflake and Databricks as data platforms.
- Knowledge of open table formats such as Apache Iceberg and catalogs or metadata frameworks including Polaris, Horizon, or Unity.
- Production-grade services experience in cloud environments; AWS, GCP, and/or Azure experience is preferred.
- Basic understanding of data modeling and data product concepts.
- Solid debugging and performance-tuning skills for data pipelines.
- Financial services or enterprise data platform experience is beneficial but not required.
