Base Salary

$114k - $151k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain embedded firmware and software for RF and microwave products.
  • Design and support embedded control systems for amplifiers and subsystem monitoring.
  • Integrate firmware with sensors, detectors, power supplies, cooling systems, and other hardware components.
  • Implement SPI, I2C, UART, and Ethernet communication interfaces.
  • Develop fault monitoring, health monitoring, diagnostics, and data logging capabilities.
  • Troubleshoot, optimize, and validate firmware in real-time embedded environments.
  • Create automated test solutions using Python, C/C++, or LabVIEW.
  • Support board bring-up, system integration, qualification testing, manufacturing activities, product releases, and field deployments.
  • Document software architecture, test procedures, and system configurations.
  • Provide technical support during product release and customer field deployments.

Requirements

  • Required: embedded firmware development experience using C/C++ and/or Python.
  • Required: knowledge of microcontrollers and real-time embedded systems.
  • Required: experience implementing hardware communication protocols.
  • Required: strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Required: technical documentation and communication skills.
  • Preferred: experience with FPGAs and Real-Time Operating Systems (RTOS).
  • Preferred: familiarity with RF or microwave systems and components.
  • Required: bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related field, plus 3–7 years of relevant experience.
  • Ability to travel approximately 5% domestically and internationally.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government Security Clearance; U.S. citizenship is required.
