Responsibilities
- Lead software design and development across enterprise applications.
- Drive technical design decisions, code reviews, mentoring, and engineering best practices.
- Develop and maintain backend services using Java, Jakarta Servlet, Spring Framework, and related technologies.
- Modernize legacy applications by migrating libraries and frameworks to supported versions.
- Develop and enhance user interfaces using React.js, JavaScript, and TypeScript.
- Build and integrate RESTful APIs and manage frontend-backend communication.
- Implement secure coding practices and comply with enterprise and industry standards.
- Troubleshoot complex application issues and optimize performance, scalability, and maintainability.
- Collaborate with stakeholders, architects, and development teams to deliver business-aligned software solutions.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of relevant software development experience; the posting states a typical range of 5 to 8 years.
- Proficiency in Java, Jakarta EE Servlet API, Spring Framework, React.js, JavaScript, and TypeScript.
- Strong experience developing scalable enterprise applications and RESTful services.
- Expertise in React fundamentals, Hooks, state management, and component lifecycle.
- Knowledge of HTML5, CSS3, responsive web design, and frontend optimization.
- Experience with API integration, asynchronous data handling, and form validation frameworks.
- Familiarity with Jackson, Apache POI, Log4j2, Hibernate Validator, HikariCP, and file upload handling.
- Experience with version control systems, testing frameworks, and modern development tools.
- Knowledge of secure coding, JWT-OAuth authentication mechanisms, and application security standards.
- Spring Boot, legacy-to-modern framework migration experience, and banking or financial services exposure are preferred.
- A university degree in Computer Science or Banking, or equivalent working experience, is preferred.
