Base Salary

$125k - $175k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Participate across the software development lifecycle, including requirements, architecture, design, implementation, build, deployment, testing, and support.
  • Implement features and services, fix bugs, expand functionality, and maintain a robust multi-service software system.
  • Develop client-side and server-side functionality for desktop and web clients, including user interfaces and web applications.
  • Work with databases and other data stores to collect information and perform applicable statistical analysis.
  • Collaborate with project managers and development team members on software design, quality, extensibility, and future roadmap priorities.
  • Interact with stakeholders, customers, and users to understand operational needs and define software requirements.
  • Provide occasional direct customer support and technical assistance.
  • Produce technical documentation and troubleshoot software issues.

Requirements

  • Active DoD Secret Security Clearance and U.S. citizenship are required.
  • Five years of professional programming experience with a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, three years with a master’s degree, or equivalent documented and demonstrable professional experience.
  • Knowledge of modern software application and server design, development, implementation, deployment, and testing practices.
  • Experience with enterprise client-server or web application technologies and frameworks, including Java, Kotlin, JavaScript, TypeScript, Spring, Hibernate, Angular, Node, and Python.
  • Exposure to database technologies including Postgres, MySQL, MSSQL, and MongoDB.
  • Experience implementing user interface and user experience designs and REST API endpoints.
  • Experience using AI code-assist tools in software development.
  • Strong technical documentation, troubleshooting, teamwork, organizational, and data-analysis skills.
  • Preferred experience includes dependency injection, software services, componentization, object-oriented and functional programming, web security, full-stack architecture, Docker, Kubernetes, DevOps and deployment tools, Angular, Java, Spring, Kotlin, JIRA, Confluence, Bamboo, Git, BitBucket, Fisheye, Crucible, Cassandra, Kafka, Minio, Elasticsearch, HBase, Hadoop, Lucene, Python, machine-learning algorithms and tools, natural-language-processing libraries, and multiple LLM providers and APIs.
  • Preferred qualifications include experience with software development methodologies, customer collaboration, user interface and user experience implementation, and working within client timelines and budgets.
