Responsibilities

  • Provide technical leadership in designing and developing software and web applications.
  • Develop, customize, integrate, test, update, and roll out software applications.
  • Work with C, C++, Python, Perl, Shell, Linux, RDK-B, RDK-C, JSON, XML, telemetry technologies, connectivity protocols, cable standards, and Wi-Fi technologies.
  • Analyze integration needs and collaborate with stakeholders to identify product and technical requirements.
  • Prepare software designs, evaluation plans, test results, technical manuals, recommendations, reports, and other documentation.
  • Monitor competitive applications and products and research relevant literature, patents, and current practices.
  • Collaborate with Quality Assurance to determine whether applications meet specifications and technical requirements.
  • Guide and mentor junior-level engineers.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • Five years of experience designing and developing software and web applications in an Agile development environment using C, C++, Python, Perl, and Shell.
  • Experience working with Linux OS.
  • Four years of experience using reference design kits including RDK-B and RDK-C.
  • Three years of experience using JSON and XML for Telemetry 2.0, Webpa, Upnp, and TR-069.
  • Experience working with DOCSIS and SCTE cable telecommunications standards.
  • Experience using Wi-Fi technologies including Wi-Fi 6, Wi-Fi 7, and 802.11 k/v/b/e.
