Base Salary
$200k - $240k/yr
Responsibilities
- Productionize research ideas such as transformers, ensemble models, and new detection and classification approaches.
- Design and build perception pipeline components on Flink/PyFlink stream-processing architecture.
- Train, evaluate, maintain, and optimize computer vision models and inference using Triton, TensorRT, and multi-backend serving.
- Design tracking, filtering, probabilistic reasoning, and state-machine logic that converts model outputs into trustworthy incidents.
- Build metrics, dashboards, and evaluation loops for production model and pipeline observability.
- Reduce end-to-end latency and cost while maintaining detection quality.
- Partner with GTM, customer success, and data operations on customer rollouts, deployment tuning, labeling, and review quality.
- Evaluate and integrate ML orchestration, labeling, and dataset-curation tooling.
- Write design documents and requirements, create proofs of concept, and provide technical leadership and mentorship across teams.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience building and shipping production machine learning or computer vision systems.
- Strong Python skills; C++ or Go experience is a plus.
- Experience with model serving and inference optimization, including Triton, TensorRT, or similar tools.
- Experience with streaming or distributed data processing such as Flink or Kafka.
- Strong understanding of evaluation, including dataset construction, metric definition, and regression detection.
- Familiarity with Kubernetes, Docker, Terraform, ArgoCD, and AWS.
- Preferred experience across the computer vision data lifecycle, including collection, sampling, labeling, and curation.
- Preferred experience with auto-labeling, embedding-based data search, customer deployments, or field-facing ML systems.
- Ability to provide technical leadership without authority, communicate clearly, take ownership, mentor teammates, and operate pragmatically in ambiguity.
