Base Salary

$77k - $102k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Develop, maintain, troubleshoot, and integrate real-time software supporting NASA JSC Training Systems and the Orion Simulation Framework.
  • Develop and maintain C++ software in Linux or UNIX environments, including software builds and integration with other developers.
  • Support integration of Space Launch System, Orion flight software, Orion simulation, training systems, and external vendor interfaces.
  • Analyze and resolve software, build, configuration, and integration issues.
  • Support software testing and verification activities with external partners.
  • Work with users and project stakeholders to determine requirements, system limitations, impacts, and flight-training readiness.
  • Participate in code reviews, Agile/Scrum activities, established software processes, documentation, and technical coordination.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Must be able to obtain a NASA Personal Identity Verification badge for NASA credentials.
  • Experience with C++ programming in a Linux or UNIX environment.
  • Strong oral and written communication, interpersonal, teamwork, initiative, and problem-solving skills.
  • Preferred: experience with the Mission Training Center or Training Systems.
  • Preferred: Python programming experience and GitLab configuration management experience.
  • Preferred: familiarity with the NASA JSC Trick simulation framework and Agile development methods.
