
Senior Backend / AI Engineer - Scraping Platform

Responsibilities
- Design and evolve a distributed scraping platform using idempotency, retries, backpressure, rate limiting, circuit breakers, scheduling, and fault-tolerance patterns.
- Develop browser automation and scraping infrastructure with session management, proxies, IP rotation, fingerprinting, and anti-bot mechanisms.
- Build integrations for AI models and agents to make dynamic navigation and information-retrieval decisions.
- Own critical production components from design and implementation through observability, capacity planning, troubleshooting, and incident response.
- Lead technically complex initiatives, define architectures, evaluate trade-offs, write RFCs, and support technical growth through design reviews, code reviews, and mentoring.
Requirements
- Strong backend development experience with Python and Go, plus knowledge of Node.js.
- Experience designing highly scalable distributed, asynchronous, and event-driven architectures, messaging queues, concurrent processing, APIs, and resilience patterns.
- Experience with persistence and data-processing technologies, including SQL, streams, and object storage.
- Experience operating critical production systems, including observability, monitoring, metrics, distributed tracing, troubleshooting, and root-cause analysis.
- Knowledge or experience with browser automation, large-scale scraping, networking, proxies, session management, fingerprinting, and anti-bot mechanisms.
