Responsibilities
- Implement and deliver features and components within the cloud-native data protection platform.
- Build backend features and workflows and write tests.
- Operate, debug, and improve production systems after deployment.
- Make implementation decisions that balance correctness, simplicity, and performance.
- Grow ownership of specific components with guidance from Senior and Principal Engineers.
Requirements
- Software engineering experience through professional roles, internships, or academic and personal projects.
- Solid knowledge of computer science fundamentals including data structures, algorithms, and complexity analysis.
- Proficiency in at least one modern programming language such as Go, Java, Python, C++, or Rust.
- Ability to develop correct and maintainable solutions and clarify unclear requirements.
- Willingness to learn how production systems are built, operated, and debugged.
- Working knowledge of English.
- Preferred: experience contributing to a larger backend or cloud-native platform.
- Preferred: familiarity with AWS, GCP, or Azure and cloud-native design patterns.
- Preferred: familiarity with data-intensive systems, object storage, or large-scale backend services.
- Preferred: exposure to backup, disaster recovery, or data protection systems.
