Base Salary

$135k - $160k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Develop highly reliable software solutions used across SpaceX.
  • Create applications that improve SpaceX operations.
  • Build prototypes to validate design concepts and quantify technical constraints.
  • Own all aspects of software engineering and product development.
  • Investigate user problems and create efficient solutions.
  • Participate in architecture, design, and code reviews.
  • Work extended hours or weekends when required by launch cadence.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, math, or a scientific discipline, or at least two years of professional software-building experience in lieu of a degree.
  • At least one year of full-stack development experience.
  • Experience with Python, C#/.NET, Go, Scala, Java, or a similar object-oriented language.
  • At least one year of rigorous experience building single-page web applications.
  • Experience with software system design, testing, continuous integration, build, deployment, monitoring, profiling, and performance improvement.
  • Experience with build systems, package management tools, UNIX-like operating systems, infrastructure management tools, in-stream data processing, Docker, Kubernetes, frontend frameworks, and databases.
  • Ability to meet applicable ITAR eligibility or authorization requirements.
