Responsibilities
- Build monitoring, alerting, and tracing infrastructure for deployed AI agents and applications.
- Develop safe, repeatable, and fast deployment and delivery pipelines for production AI solutions across customer and SAP-managed BAIP environments.
- Design automation to provision, configure, and maintain production environments at scale, including partner-operated landscapes.
- Create SLI/SLO frameworks, error-budget practices, incident-response tooling, and post-mortem processes for AI-native solutions.
- Build security and governance tooling for compliance checks, access management, and data-boundary enforcement.
- Mentor engineers, define platform standards, and shape the tooling strategy for the Intelligent Operations capability.
- Collaborate with operations engineers, application engineering teams, delivery squads, engineering excellence, external partners, and BAIP platform teams.
Requirements
- Deep experience building and operating production platforms, CI/CD pipelines, observability stacks, and infrastructure automation.
- Expertise in cloud-native architectures, distributed systems, and reliability engineering.
- Experience building platform capabilities that other engineering teams depend on and setting standards across organizational boundaries.
- Understanding of operating AI-native solutions in production, including their monitoring needs, failure modes, and deployment patterns.
- Experience with agentic systems, LLM-based applications, or AI-enabled platform operations is advantageous.
- Ability to work globally across teams and partners and provide technical leadership.
