Base Salary
$180k - $220k/yr
Responsibilities
- Own the transformation of core products, including benefits administration workflows, carrier integrations, and embeddable user interfaces.
- Drive product direction as a critical member of the early product engineering team.
- Establish robust technical foundations that scale for major partners and future growth.
- Cultivate partner relationships to identify opportunities and shape the roadmap and feature development.
- Own problems end to end, including scoping, tradeoffs, customer conversations, architecture, and shipping.
Requirements
- Exceptional engineering skills for building complex systems with elegant design and robust architecture.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with customers and partners to solve complex problems.
- Strong product sense and ability to translate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to learn quickly, self-motivate, execute rapidly, and maintain high quality standards.
- Curiosity about nuanced and specialized technical and industry domains.
- Technical writing and knowledge-sharing experience is a bonus.
- 5+ years of experience designing and building systems through multiple lifecycles is a bonus.
- Expertise in Django and Python and/or React and TypeScript is a bonus.
- Strong focus on code maintainability, testability, and clarity.
- Excellent communication skills, especially with non-technical team members and customers.
