Base Salary
$200k - $400k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design and build agentic workflows for production incidents, including orchestration, prompting, tool use, and evaluation.
- Engineer context and retrieval systems using semantic search, keyword search, APIs, and SQL.
- Ship product features end-to-end from backend data models through React interfaces.
- Partner with platform and research teams to bring AI capabilities into the customer-facing product.
- Own ambiguous projects by breaking them into milestones and orchestrating delivery.
- Work directly with customers to refine features and validate product fit.
Requirements
- 5+ years of professional software engineering experience in full-stack, product, or AI engineering roles.
- Production experience with LLMs or agent-based systems, including orchestration, prompting, tool use, and retrieval.
- Strong experience with TypeScript, React, Postgres, and NestJS.
- Understanding of production AI concerns including evaluations, latency, error handling, and streaming.
- Experience owning projects end-to-end in a startup environment.
- Product thinking focused on designing customer-loved features, not just code.
- Experience owning ambiguous initiatives and aligning design, platform, and research teams.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a focus on maintainable, scalable code.
- Bonus: experience with AWS, Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, developer tools, infrastructure, observability, retrieval, or search systems.
- Bonus: experience working directly with customers, or prior technical leadership or project leadership.
