Base Salary
$168k - $210k/yr
Responsibilities
- Develop and enhance CarGurus' Pipeline-as-a-Service using Go and Java.
- Expand development environment infrastructure to provide ephemeral, hermetic environments.
- Scale production CI/CD infrastructure to meet future demands.
- Manage and enforce governance strategies that promote environmental parity across services and artifacts and ensure high quality.
Requirements
- 8+ years of professional software engineering experience, including 3+ years serving as a technical lead or principal engineer.
- Experience working with Golang, Java, or similar programming languages.
- Proficiency with containerization and cloud environments.
- Knowledge of configuration management for distributed systems across multiple environments.
- Familiarity with CI/CD operations, tooling, continuous deployment, and related technologies in a Kubernetes environment.
- High-level understanding of Java, Python, or Bash/Unix scripting.
- Ability to communicate technical concepts to engineering and business audiences.
- Self-motivated, resourceful, and proactive approach to driving projects and business goals.
- Aptitude for using AI tools such as Windsurf, Cursor, or similar tools to improve software development and operational efficiency.
