Responsibilities
- Design and develop scalable, highly available, and performant platform components, services, and APIs.
- Architect and implement reusable infrastructure supporting microservices, scalability, testability, observability, and automated delivery.
- Use and champion AI-driven development practices, including agentic coding tools and AI-augmented code review.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define technical requirements, create architectural designs, and implement solutions.
- Provide technical leadership, participate in code reviews, and promote engineering best practices.
- Contribute to the Eclipse technical roadmap and architectural discussions.
- Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks, security vulnerabilities, system limitations, and production issues.
- Evaluate industry trends and emerging technologies to improve platform capabilities.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field.
- At least six years of software development experience focused on building and scaling complex distributed systems.
- Experience building B2B enterprise cloud-based SaaS platforms and multi-tenant systems.
- Experience implementing and integrating AuthZ/AuthN backends, with familiarity with OAuth and OIDC.
- Experience with Kubernetes, Helm, Fleet GitOps, and service mesh technologies.
- Experience with a public cloud provider beyond basic IaaS usage, with AWS preferred.
- Hands-on experience using AI to accelerate software development.
- Proficiency in multiple programming languages; C#, JavaScript/TypeScript, and/or Go experience preferred.
- Strong understanding of microservices architecture, containerization, and cloud-native application design.
- Production debugging experience involving log aggregation and observability tools.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, collaboration, and technical leadership skills.
- FinTech experience is a plus.
