Base Salary
$165k - $224k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, build, test, and operate scalable backend services and libraries powering AI- and LLM-driven features.
- Integrate and harden model providers, tools, and agent capabilities behind clean, versioned interfaces with reliable failure handling, observability, and cost and latency awareness.
- Build evaluation and regression tooling to measure, gate, and improve AI behavior.
- Develop proactive, multimodal, context-aware experiences across Alexa, Fire TV, mobile, and wearable surfaces.
- Apply security-conscious, fail-closed designs for credentials, user data, tool execution, and autonomous actions.
- Own software components end to end, contribute to architecture and design, write production code, and mentor other engineers.
- Use AI coding assistants and agentic workflows while critically reviewing generated code and maintaining automated testing and code quality.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
- Three or more years of non-internship professional software development experience.
- Two or more years contributing to new and existing systems architecture and design, including architecture, design patterns, reliability, and scaling.
- Experience programming with at least one software programming language.
- Knowledge of professional software engineering practices across coding standards, software architecture, code reviews, source control, continuous deployments, testing, and operational excellence is preferred.
- Familiarity with agentic software development tools such as Kiro, Claude, or Cursor is preferred.
