Responsibilities

  • Build new features and full modules within NOS for regulatory automation, cost and scheduling, supply chain, and the commercial portal.
  • Develop AI-powered software using LLM- and agent-backed features, retrieval-augmented generation, and tool-calling against internal systems.
  • Develop data integrations across Palantir Foundry, AWS GovCloud, and other systems.
  • Convert build-a-thon prototypes into production-grade features and build field deployment tooling.
  • Build automated testing and compliance infrastructure, triage issues, and identify root causes of failures.

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in a BS program in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or a related technical field.
  • Available for the stated internship term and expected to return to school afterward.
  • Strong programming fundamentals in at least one of Python, TypeScript, Java, Go, Rust, or C++.
  • Track record of shipping working software through course projects, personal projects, internships, or co-ops.
  • U.S. Person status, defined as U.S. citizenship or lawful permanent residency, is required due to export controls.
  • Able and willing to work on-site in Washington, DC, five days per week for the full term.
  • Preferred qualifications include experience with LLM APIs, retrieval-augmented generation, agents, tool-calling, Palantir Foundry, AWS, enterprise cloud platforms, algorithms, data structures, cloud infrastructure, or modern front-end frameworks.
  • Interest in energy, national security, industrial software, or regulated industries is preferred; nuclear engineering familiarity is not required.
