Responsibilities
- Lead the architecture, design, implementation, testing, and integration of embedded firmware, device drivers, stack extensions, debugging tools, and test utilities.
- Develop firmware that configures, controls, and monitors communication devices and interfaces with host systems through device drivers.
- Design device drivers that allow applications, middleware, and operating systems to use networking hardware features.
- Develop automated unit and system tests for robust and reliable software.
- Build firmware for safety-critical automotive applications while following functional safety, quality, and compliance practices.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, software, or a related field.
- At least 18 years of relevant embedded software development experience.
- Strong understanding of software architecture, implementation, testing, and the software development lifecycle.
- Proficiency in C and C++; Python experience is a plus.
- Extensive firmware experience, preferably involving Ethernet or other communication devices.
- Strong embedded firmware experience, including integration and testing of firmware and low-level code.
- Hands-on experience with hardware and embedded processors and expertise in code footprint and performance optimization.
- Experience with simulation and emulation platforms, GNU or similar compiler and debugging suites, and embedded buses such as I2C, SPI, Ethernet, and USB is desirable.
- Experience with automotive or other safety-critical systems and processes such as MISRA, ASPICE, and ISO26262 is desirable.
- Familiarity with Ethernet MAC, PHY, switching, TCP/IP, security, SerDes, PCIe, NTB, SR-IOV, video processing protocols, Perforce, Git, Swarm, mixed-signal systems, ARM processors, and bootloaders such as uboot is desirable.
