Responsibilities
- Gather and translate Department of Defense customer mission requirements into clear technical requirements and use cases.
- Configure and build Console demo environments tailored to specific mission use cases.
- Partner with forward engineering to direct demo-environment and prototype development.
- Demonstrate mission-relevant capabilities to technical and operational evaluators.
- Serve as the technical advisor during pursuits, including answering technical questions, resolving roadblocks, and supporting security questionnaires and technical responses.
- Work with Account Executives to provide technical proof supporting defense deals through evaluation and into pilot or production.
- Advise on architecture, data, and AI systems in customer environments, including classified and air-gapped settings.
- Feed customer mission requirements and field insight back to product and engineering teams.
Requirements
- 6+ years in a deeply technical role such as Sales Engineer, Solutions Architect, Forward Deployed Engineer, software engineer, or technical product role.
- Demonstrated ability to configure and build working solutions from development requirements rather than only presenting fixed demonstrations.
- Experience translating ambiguous, mission-driven problems into technical requirements that engineering teams can implement.
- Strong foundation in architecture, data, integration, and AI/LLM systems, with the ability to work credibly alongside engineers.
- Experience building or deploying systems powered by LLMs or generative/agentic AI, including understanding how model behavior affects solutions.
- Deep understanding of Department of Defense and national-security customers, including mission owners and program offices.
- Comfort working in a fast-moving, development-driven environment with forward engineering and Account Executives.
- Ability to move quickly from requirements to demonstrated capability.
