Responsibilities
- Develop and productize embedded firmware for 5G/4G and multimode cellular physical-layer systems.
- Integrate hardware elements and embedded software into cellular SoC designs.
- Design, develop, and debug embedded software in a cross-functional silicon development organization.
- Collaborate with product development groups across Apple to advance wireless system performance.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- Knowledge of 4G/5G 3GPP protocols and physical-layer and radio aspects.
- Understanding of digital signal processing and RF fundamentals.
- Understanding of software engineering principles and core computer science fundamentals.
- Excellent command of C and C++.
- Working experience with compilers, build tools, and source code control tools.
- Working knowledge of CPU architecture, hardware/software interfaces, and memory management.
- Proficiency debugging embedded software systems.
- Familiarity with JTAG and ETM Trace tools.
- Knowledge of communication theory, wireless standards, radio architecture, and interfaces.
